Sephora Play!
I partnered with Sephora to design and launch Sephora PLAY!, a monthly, fully customized beauty box delivered to your door. In my role as Digital Creative Lead, I designed and spearheaded all web-based aspects of the program – One that would need to scale immensely as the program rapidly grew.
I pitched the program, designed the product, then managed a team of art directors to make extensive updates on a monthly basis.

Our customers would receive customized boxes based on their answers to a beauty questionnaire taken at sign up. Each month, they were matched with new products that fit their hair or skin type, skin tone, and preferences.
The program grew from having two box options at launch to offering over ten different combinations of products and coinciding content, all newly designed on desktop and mobile each month in collaboration with notable illustrators.
The modularity greatly reduced the demand on the team of art directors and designers that I managed, allowing us to take on more projects and pitch for new digital work for the agency.

Winning the business of Sephora PLAY! felt like a major milestone in the digital growth of the agency that I was in charge of as Digital Creative Lead. When I arrived at Standard Time it was far from a digital agency – Primarily focusing on print, TV, packaging, in-store and out of home. With each website we shipped it felt that the next project would get bigger and bigger and led us to increasingly more exciting projects and opportunities.
